Originally known as the Central Illinois Police Chiefs Association, the organization was comprised of local Chiefs of Police with several purposes in mind.  The most significant being the sincere desire to foster a true spirit of cooperation between law enforcement agencies.  Without cooperation, valuable expertise and resources would be lost.  We currently accept membership from any law enforcement executive level from federal, state, county, and local departments in the Central Illinois area.

The Central Illinois Association of Law Enforcement Executives has been organized for the purpose of promoting professionalism in the police service, stimulating community interest in law enforcement, developing training programs for police personnel and motivating a true spirit of cooperation between law enforcement agencies in the Central Illinois area.
